Another little reminder about the deadline for guaranteed Christmas delivery of your wedding albums and prints.
Album orders need to be signed off by the 1st of December, which means I need your list of pictures asap!
Individual print orders can be placed through the website, with the latest order date now of the 10th of December. This has been brought forward from the 17th, as the Lab where they are processed are super busy and need longer lead times than expected.

2008 is shaping up to be another busy year, bookings have been coming in for weddings at fantastic venues all over Scotland, I thought I would highlight a few here as some of them I have not worked at before.
One of the first bookings I had for 2008 was at Ardverikie House near Newtonmore. This was the venue used for the BBC's Monarch of the Glen and the film Mrs Brown, amongst others. I am really excited about the venue as it shows Scotland off at its absolute best. Also up on the west coast we have Ardanaiseig House Hotel, another fantastic venue tucked away of the banks of Loch Awe. Moving back down to Glasgow, I have bookings at Mar Hall a grand hotel near Erskine, St Andrews In The Square a favourite venue of mine and The Hilton in the center of the city. Channings House Hotel in Edinburgh is another new venue, I love working in the capital so this should be a great day. Heading south The Turnberry Hotel in Ayr (where I played a very bad round of golf once), is the venue for a booking I have taken this morning! Really looking forward to being by the sea with all its fantastic scenery. Across the water from Turnberry is Campbeltown at the end of the Kintyre Peninsula, I have covered a few weddings there over the years and the area always creates great photographs.

It has now been over a year since I started using the Bellissimo Range of albums. They have been a fantastic success with my clients, creating stylish contemporary story book albums, that will become priceless family heirlooms.
Every album I have designed has been different as you get to decide how the finished album looks and with them being produced by the leading Pro Lab here in Scotland, the delivery times are a fraction of other manufacturers in Europe.
Laura and Dan recently received their 12 x 12 30 page album "The album is truly wonderful, we have left it out in our lounge and everyone who looks at it thinks it is amazing! The detail and presentation are brilliant, the way it tells the story of the day is wonderful. We can't thank you enough"
Victoria & Adam wrote to me after receiving their huge 16 x 12 60 page album "We love the album, it brought back all the memories of our day, we just love it. It feels like a real heirloom that we will treasure forever, and we hope that one day our children and grandchildren will get to sit on our laps and look through the pages of our very own Fairytale wedding!"

Being a wedding photographer is quite the most nerve wrecking thing I have ever done. I am constantly worried about my work not coming out as I visualised due to equipment restrictions, the church is too dark, the venue too small the lack of natural light, can I use creative lighting to enhance the picture and add that WOW factor.
These thoughts are continuously going through my head, making me work harder trying to make sure all bases are covered, why? Because these are your wedding pictures, the only part of your wedding day that will be with you forever. To me that is priceless and a job that can't be stuffed up or compromised in any way.
That is why I constantly invest into the best Nikon camera bodies and lenses available, buying into the latest technology so you the client can have the highest quality pictures possible. Don't get me wrong it's not the camera that takes the picture I have to make sure the composition is correct, lighting, exposure, timing etc is all looked after, but technology does help all of this and helps keep my anxiety levels in check at the same time.
Next seasons weddings pictures will all be taken with Nikons new D3 body, allowing me more freedom to produce stylish natural looking photographs.
This is another big investment that is an ongoing philosophy in my photography. You the customer come first.
