Duart Castle & MacQuarrie House, Isle of Mull Wedding Photography with Carolann and Matthew

Can there be a more stunning venue to be married than at Duart Castle at the south eastern tip of the Isle of Mull, I think not! Another fabulous sunny warm day meant all the work that Carolann & Matthew had put into their day came to fruition creating a beautiful picturesque wedding day, I was like a kid in a sweet shop, too many choices and I had to real myself in a bit for getting carried away.

This was a Scottish Australian wedding Matthew being from New South Wales, which is why they chose to get married on Mull! During there previous holidays around the West coast they found MacQuarrie House a beautiful private house nestled under Ben More and on the Banks of Loch Ba in the middle of the Island. This is the family home of Lachlan MacQuarrie who served as the last autocratic Governor of New South Wales, Australia from 1810 to 1821 who had a leading role in the social, economic and architectural development of the colony. It was Matthews sense of history and pride of his homeland that he and Carolann then asked if they could host there wedding in the grounds of the house, to which to there original surprise the owners said, absolutely, no worries!

Anyway enough history, a great day (despite the midges) and hopefully I have done their day justice with my photographs.

Here are a few of my favourites, if you were a guest at the wedding and would like to see a few more, please contact me.
