St Andrews Cathedral and Sherbrooke Castle Wedding Photography with Michelle & Paul

A few weeks ago I was at St Andrews Cathedral and Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Glasgow to photograph the wedding of Michelle & Paul.

I do enjoy the Autumn to photograph weddings it allows me to use the failing light in the afternoon to great effect whilst adding off camera flash for a bit of drama, creating much more than traditional wedding photographs. This however adds its own pressures as obviously the daylight waits for no man! This was the case with Michelle & Paul, the ceremony ran over, the hotel wanted everybody sat for dinner as per their schedule and I (although keeping an air of serenity) had to work my magic in no time at all.

Luckily, I am very good at what I do and Michelle and Paul were absolutely fantastic, taking everything in their stride and enjoying every moment.

These are a few of my favourite photos from the day, if you were a guest at the wedding and you would like to see a few more, please get in touch.

Glasgow University Chapel and Sherbrooke Castle Hotel Wedding Photography

What a day we had on Sunday for Caitlyn and John's wedding, warm autumnal sunshine all day mixed with architectural brilliance that is Glasgow University's Chapel. Sherbooke Castle Hotel was the venue for the reception, using the hotel as a backdrop in the fading evening light allowing for some great portrait photos, as the house gets lit up in the evening.

Caitlyn and John live in Seattle and had organised the whole day from the West coast of the USA, so I think they were rather relieved that all their hard work and organisational skills came off (including the weather) allowing them to relax and have fun with so many family and friends that had made the trip from the USA.

These are a few of favourite photos, if you were a guest at the wedding and you would like to see a few more, please get in touch.

Sherbrooke Castle Hotel Wedding with Linda and William

What a great way to start my wedding season, a lovely warm day for the end of March in Glasgow at Sherbrooke & St Gilberts Church and The Sherbrooke Castle Hotel with Linda & William. Both venues are on the south side of the city with the church just over the road from the hotel. The first picture of the church is taken from the drive way leading up to the hotel reception.

The day went without a hitch the church service was full of emotion with Linda struggling to hold back her tears and the hotel did a fantastic job of hosting the reception.

Here are a few of my favourite images.

I have all the photographs uploaded to the website, if you were a guest at the wedding and would like to view them, please contact me.
